Yardstick trivets

I have a limited production run of my yardstick trivet available for sale at Etsy. Imagine taking 27 pieces of a wooden yardstick, gluing them into curves by bent lamination of 3 layers over a form, and then joining them together to make a trivet for your dining room table. Orders placed by 12/9 can be shipped in time for Christmas.

I just got back my first laser cut components from Ponoko. After veneering the bamboo lampshade pieces with wall street journal stock quotes in a vacuum bag and then sealing them, I’m very happy with the way that the lamp is coming together…

Pecha Kucha Night

I will be presenting my idea for getting local furniture makers involved in a collaborative project at tonight’s Pecha Kucha event.
